TotalEnergies LUNARIA SH 46 – Synthetic Refrigeration Compressor Oil
LUNARIA SH 46 is a fully synthetic refrigeration compressor oil based on polyalphaolefins (PAO), developed for reciprocating and screw compressors using ammonia (R-717) as refrigerant. It delivers excellent oxidation stability, extended oil drain intervals and outstanding performance at very low temperatures. It is NSF H1 registered, making it suitable for applications with occasional food contact.
Product Advantages
• High oxidation resistance with ammonia as refrigerant
• Suitable for use under critical conditions (e.g. air ingress into the system)
• No sludge formation
• Very low volatility – 30–50% reduced oil consumption compared to mineral oils
• Very low pour point prevents frozen residues in the evaporator
• Good compatibility with common sealing materials (polychloroprene, NBR etc.)

• Evaporation temperatures down to –50 °C
