Specis CU is a copper-containing lubricating paste for use in the assembly of components that are highly susceptible to corrosion or oxidation and tend to seize. It is effective for screw and press connections that are prone to corrosion, e.g. in vehicle construction or for components that come into contact with seawater. Specis CU is ideally suited as a high-pressure lubricant for pneumatic tools (e.g. as a chisel paste) and was developed to prevent galling of screw connections on exhaust manifolds, which regularly weld due to high temperatures.
